Our goal is to make professional upholstery as organized and accessible as other national home services, while keeping the craftsmanship local.”

AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Lerega is building a national franchise system aimed at giving locally owned upholstery and restoration businesses a stronger operating structure, with shared standards for training, customer service and quality control.

The model is designed to bring more consistency to an industry that has traditionally depended on individual craftspeople and small independent shops. Local teams would continue performing the hands-on work, while using a common system for evaluating damage, preparing estimates, scheduling projects, carrying out repairs and completing final inspections.

For owners and managers, the system also includes guidance on staffing, workflow and project management, from the first customer inquiry through final delivery.

The idea is to make technical knowledge easier to teach and repeat from one location to another without taking away the craftsmanship behind the work. Repair methods become part of a formal training system, while customer communication and project handling follow established procedures. Each location remains locally operated, but works within a broader service network.

Lerega’s technical background comes in part from team members with experience in museum restoration. The company’s early work focused heavily on leather handbags and accessories, where preserving original materials, matching color and controlling the final finish are critical to the quality of the restoration.

Those same principles later became part of Lerega’s furniture and upholstery work.

In Austin, the company’s leather restoration services include material assessment, surface preparation, damage repair, color matching and restoration of protective finishes. Its furniture upholstery work extends into replacement coverings, cushion rebuilding and projects that require more extensive reconstruction.

Bringing those capabilities together allows customers to evaluate repair, restoration and reupholstery within one company rather than treating them as unrelated services. In many cases, that makes it possible to preserve furniture that is still structurally sound while improving its comfort, appearance and usable life.

Lerega is now expanding into nearby markets while developing the structure for wider growth.

Education is part of that strategy. Through Lerega Academy, both beginners and experienced professionals can study restoration techniques along with the business side of operating a repair or upholstery service. Some graduates may later qualify to represent Lerega in their own markets, although participation in the network requires a separate review of technical ability and operational readiness.

The franchise model is intended to connect those pieces: train local teams, provide them with established operating procedures and expand service coverage while maintaining consistent expectations for workmanship and customer experience.
